Jockeys’ Valets
Jockeys’ Valets are engaged to attend to Jockeys at the racecourse and to provide assistance with riding equipment and silks.
Jockeys’ Valets fall into two categories – Master and Assistant.
An application for a Master Valet will only be considered once the applicant has spent a significant period acting as assistant to a licensed Master Valet and in most cases will be taking on an existing business.
The Master Valet employs his own assistants and makes an application to the British Horseracing Authority on their behalf.
